Space Opportunity

Levi has met with the owner of a property coming available in some time, on several occasions. The owner assures us verbally that we are first for renting the property once they move. We want it in writing that this is the case to insure us this transaction. Prayers appreciated. At the time of this letter, we are waiting for a final price to rent this land (desirable for the ministry and for us to live). We have offered the owner $700 a month for rent (about ¾ acre with coverings and a house that needs work). He’s only given us a purchase price that is about double what it should be. We are praying about it for now with no counter purchase offer. It would be best to rent for a year to make sure it is worth it in the long term. It is good to be on a property for a year to know if there are any area issues; flooding, crime, etc.

We are still establishing this ministry, the calling God’s given to Levi. As this happens in God’s time in God’s Way, we minister to others and building relationships. It’s great to see them grow more interested in the Word and in God as they interact with us. Also, Levi has helped a Guatemalan with materials for his home and another one by making a door and window. We have helped others by giving household items, our son and daughter’s clothes, and books/toys, explaining how God provides these items not “us because we have a lot”. This opens their eyes and hearts to God providing and loving them.

No Space, praying for space

A piece of land has come up that would be ‘ideal’ for the ministry and for saving living costs long term. We are praying about God’s hand in this. It’s either “yes, no, or not yet” and He will make is obvious! Pray with us. Levi has seen many pieces of land and will continue to do so, but there is one that is very ideal, so far.
If you or your church feels led to raise funds for our start up costs – click here to give online, if you postal mail a check, use a SEPARATE note saying “Levi Davis” (see more instructions here). See our Need page for details on what is specifically needed. An idea would be to pick a Sunday to collect funds for this, only if you are led by God.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

We simply with you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We do not say this as a common thing to say, we honestly want you to know Christmas is Jesus’ Birthday and HE is a GIFT to you. We also want your New Year to be Happy. how do you accomplish this? Why not submit to God in all you do while accepting Jesus as your Savior. Then learn to be more like Jesus bu getting plugged into a Bible teaching church with people you can fellowship with weekly. Your daily walk is so important. Pray and seek God’s purpose for creating you. It of course is all your choise. Know we are praying for you as we do the Guatemalans here we meet and minister to. They have less ‘stuff’ and priority is family and daily living. We like to add the light and hope of Jesus to it all!

Maxed out for space, now what…

As more panels get assembled and the equipment gets welded, the small amount of space we are renting from another ministry is getting filled up, in fact it’s full. There is no more room to produce what needs to be produced.

Since last spring to early summer, we’ve been praying for land. Many local Guatemalan christians have been helping find land too. Levi has gone on numerous trips to pieces of land here and there for a range of prices, sizes, and locations. Nothing has come yet to fulfill the needs for the mission. Mostly in size and in some cases in locations, it just is not right for long term rental or most desired for purchase. We’ll need room for production and temporary storage of panels. Then room for equipment for production, transportation, and most desired would be living quarters. As we’ve mentioned, thsi building system is one we’d use for our own home. We would build one on property and live in it. This would keep so many costs down, personally and in the minsitry.

Pray with us about this. Levi has maximized the space to continue so now we’re renting storage and we need to move forward in God’s timing. God knows what He will reveal to us next!

Amazing is our God

We are on our trip in the states. This will be short but we HAVE to share… As we mentioned last month the direction God has shown Levi to take the system, we have just had some supporters step forward and say that they wanted to give a special gift toward something to help further the project. Well this is it! Amazing how God had this timing so perfect. We now have the ‘way’ of making this newer, improved system for the project. Making it easier to help strengthen the Church and reach the Lost as far as the construction side goes. Praise God for the BODY!

Improvements to the system

God has laid on Levi’s heart to develop a building system that meets many needs here in Guatemala. The more Levi shares the building method/system to others, it is obvious this can be used worldwide. There are currently others waiting for the system to be fully developed in God’s time to be shared and passed on.

We are so excited about this and while making the first molds and panels, the possiblity of it being used elsewhere is in mind. Through a lot of engineering, drawings, trials, and now ‘prototypes’, Levi is making a complete production package for this system. It will make things much easier in so many ways.

Pray with us as this is engineered and made to the new specifications to accomidate local and global needs. especially that the new design will also simplify the production of the panels. This is just like God. As we work for Him, He keeps showing His ways that are greater and more simplified than originally thought. Thank you God for your Love, Grace, and Son.

Print Material & Prayer

We are now working on our print material to explain what we do and the whole vision to allow people to pray specifically with us about what God’s called us to do. Since our friends came to help, we now have pictures and video and best of all a home started for the Hernandez family. We also did Bible studies with them with not only encouraged the family but the team in their walk with God.

Pray for us al we work diligently on our materials and pray for someone to sponsor the printing. We know God’s got it all figured out. We walk in faith with your love, encouragement, and support!

Hernandez family

Friends of ours in Tennessee from four churches are lead to serve, bless, and build the Hernandez family home. They have arrived today to do whatever God leads them to do with and for the family. We are anticipating fellowship and Bible studies, training for the process of this building method, preparation of the site for foundation, and some construction of the home.

All have agreed, this is NOT about the home, it’s about building relationships with each other as we build our relationship with Jesus. We’re so excited and hopefully prepared for our friends. It will be a blessing to us to have some extra hands to help in the final R&D stages of this building method with actual field work.

Keep the family, friends, and us in your prayers as we all work for God and His Kingdom.

Bible studies and construction for the Church and the Lost.

The project to build a home for the Hernandez family is getting closer. Closer to what? Well, starting that’s it. Engineering is on going with a concentration on quality.

The family is so patient on God, what a testimony they have been. They also know thier home is the first being built, and it’s going to be looked at reviewed in so many ways. Keep the preparations and the logistics of this project in your prayers.

Pray for what exactly?

That material costs stop rising
That the water and electrical hook up from the city happen sooner than later
For the church that has sponsored this project from the heart
For all the manual labor put in the project is quality and glorifies God
The neighborhood understand ths Free gift of Jesus, if they choose to accept it

Prices rise, unexpected but not a shock

As more metal is being purchased to make molds, we get an unexpected price hike! It has gone up, so what to do? We bought the minimal amount to get another set and a half of molds made. So far we’re keeping the $300 price needed to be raised for a mold and a half.

Pray about the prices to lower. We’re patient and subject to our environment, but more importantly, we’re submitting to God’s plan His way. So with these two, it clearly says, “we’re going to use what we have and move forward.”

What does this mean?

We’re not going to waste money. – We have upfronted money out of our budget to start these molds. Now we raise funds from other lead to give to make the permenant, reusable molds.
We’re not going to waste time. – As we can, we’ll keep pouring panels into the molds, let them set up a day, and repeat. We do this until we have enough panels for a building. (roughly 60 panels for a 2 bedroom, one bath home).
We keep praying.

God is wonderful in the relationships we’re building with those trying to build a relationship with Jesus. This is more important than building a home on earth. Pray and have God lead you in your involvement in this ministry. Bless you.
